What is Next, After TikTok?

In recent years, TikTok has been the go-to platform for short-form videos, and has become one of the most popular Social Media apps. However, as with any Social Media platform, there comes a time when a new app takes over the spotlight. As we have previously reported, several nations – including: the U.S., and India – have either banned, restricted, or are considering restricting, the use of TikTok. The app collects a significant amount of data, from its users – including: their location, device information, and usage patterns. While TikTok has said that it stores this data, securely, and does not share it with third parties, concerns have been raised about the app's links to the Chinese government. So... what is next, after TikTok?

One contender, is: Triller, a similar app that allows users to create and share short-form videos. Triller has been gaining popularity. In fact, it has been reported that Triller has seen a surge in downloads, following TikTok's potential ban in the United States.

In addition to Triller, there are also platforms – like: Huddles, and Likee – which offer similar features to TikTok. Huddles was created by the co-founder of Vine: another popular short-form video app that was shut down, in 2016. Likee – which is owned by the Chinese company: Bigo – has gained popularity in countries, like: India, and Indonesia.

It is worth noting: that while these apps are gaining popularity, it is unlikely that any of them will fully replace TikTok. TikTok has created a unique experience for users, and has a massive user base. However, it is always interesting to see new apps enter the market, and shake things up.
Currently, next-generation streaming platforms – like: BitMar – may provide you the most affordable form of on-demand streaming entertainment. BitMar provides all-in-one streaming service, for life, for a one-time payment, of: $99.99 USD. It can connect you to millions of on-demand movies, TV shows, channels, videos, and songs (from many different sources on the Web), on the screens that you already own. In fact, BitMar provides access to more movies, and TV shows, than: Cable, Satellite, Netflix, Disney Plus, Max/HBO Max, Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV+, Peacock, and Hulu – combined – and more songs, than: Pandora, Spotify, Amazon Prime Music, and Apple Music—combined.
